Recently, the Federal University of Roraima (UFRR) has been represented by Prof. Dr. Américo Lyra at the International Seminar “South-South Cooperation 70 Years after Bandung,” held by the Confucius Institute of the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA) in partnership with Shanghai University. Professor Américo Lyra, from the International Relations course, is participating in the event as a guest speaker.
In his participation, Professor Américo highlighted the relevance of the Brazil-China educational dialogue, emphasizing opportunities for cooperation in the areas of education, science, technology, and culture.
In addition to his academic contribution, the professor's agenda includes strategic meetings aimed at implementing the Mandarin Assistant Professor Program at UFRR and strengthening institutional relations with Chinese universities. Among the future objectives is the creation of the Confucius Institute at UFRR, in Roraima, expanding the possibilities for academic and cultural cooperation between Brazil and China.
