Between 28 April and 1 May 2026, a delegation of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) travelled to the city of Fuzhou, in Fujian Province, to participate in the 9th China Digital Summit.

On 27 April, the Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum Macao, Ji Xianzheng, accompanied by members of the Secretariat, paid a visit to the 2026 National Security Education Exhibition held at the China-Portuguese-speaking Countries Commercial and Trade Service Platform Complex.

On 24 April, the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China in the Macao SAR, Bian Lixin, visited the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum Macao, engaging in an exchange with the members of the Secretariat.

The Macao International Audio-Visual Festival, which was launched on 15 April, has the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum Macao as one of its guiding entities, and it has been officially announced that the first edition of the Festival will take place from 1 to 3 June in Macao.

On 15 April 2026, Zhang Chunlin, Chairman of the Shanxi Provincial Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, led a delegation from Shanxi Province on a visit to the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao.

On 14 April 2026, Jiang Xin, President of Tai Fung Bank of Macao, visited the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao and exchanged views with Secretary-General Ji Xianzheng on leveraging Tai Fung Bank’s strengths, particularly its deep roots in the Macao market and its close ties with Mainland China, to advance co-operation with the markets of Portuguese-speaking countries.

On the morning of 13 April 2026, Si Ka Lon, President of the Guangdong and Macao Federation of Industry and Commerce (hereinafter referred to as the “Federation”), led a business delegation on a visit to the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, where the two sides held exchanges on jointly promoting economic and trade co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries.

On the morning of 10 April 2026, the opening ceremony of the 14th Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo was held. Dr Ji Xianzheng, Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, accompanied by other members of the Secretariat, attended the ceremony and visited the pavilion of the “Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao)”.

On 27 March, the closing ceremony of the Colloquium on Public Health and Disease Prevention and Control between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries, co-organised by the Permanent Secretariat of Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) and the Health Bureau of the Macao SAR Government, was held at the Galaxy International Convention Center in Macao.

From 25 to 26 March, the delegation of the 21st Ordinary Meeting of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao paid an exchange visit to Shenzhen, with the aim of strengthening co-operation and exchanges between the Portuguese-speaking countries and the city in the fields of trade, science and technology, and culture.

On 24 March, the Permanent Secretariat of Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) held its 21st Ordinary Meeting in Macao.

On the afternoon of 20 March, a delegation led by Dr Yin Nianhong, Mayor of the Zhongshan Municipal Government, visited the Permanent Secretariat of Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao).
