The “2025 Colloquium on Cooperation in the Tourism Sector between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries”, hosted by the Permanent Secretariat of Forum for Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and Portuguese-Speaking Countries (Macao), held its closing ceremony and certificate presentation on May 2 at the Macau Tower.

On the morning of April 25, the opening ceremony of the 13th Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo was held. Ji Xianzheng, Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum for Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), led Secretariat members to attend and visit the “Pavilion of Portuguese-speaking Countries”.

On April 22, a delegation of over 40 faculty and students from the Faculty of Social Sciences (FSS) at the University of Macau (UM) visited the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao for a discussion and exchange.

On April 16, Secretary-General Ji Xianzheng led members of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao on a visit to the “National Security Education Exhibition” at the Complex of Commerce and Trade Co-operation Platform for China and Portuguese-speaking Countries.

On March 31, Secretary-General Ji Xianzheng of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao met with a delegation led by Guo Wenhai, the Secretary of the CPC Zhongshan Municipal Committee and Nominee of the Standing Committee of the Zhongshan Municipal People’s Congress.

On March 27, the delegation from the Permanent Secretariat of Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) attended the opening ceremony of the 2025 Macao International Environmental Co-operation Forum & Exhibition (2025MIECF) and visited the booth of Forum Macao.

On March 27, Timor-Leste’s Vice Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister of Economic Affairs, Minister of Tourism and Environment, Francisco Kalbuadi Lay, visited the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao.

On March 23, during Secretary of the CPC Heilongjiang Provincial Committee Xu Qin’s visit to Macao, the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao and the Heilongjiang Province Department of Commerce signed the “Cooperation Framework Agreement between the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao and the Heilongjiang Province Department of Commerce” at the Complex of Commerce and Trade Co-operation Platform for China and Portuguese-speaking Countries.

On March 21, Ye Hongguang, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Zhongshan Municipal Committee and Vice Mayor of Zhongshan, led a delegation to the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao. The delegation exchanged views with Secretary-General Ji Xianzheng on leveraging Macao’s platform role to further promote cooperation between Zhongshan, Macao, and Portuguese-speaking countries in areas such as economy, trade, and culture.

Organized by the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, the 16th Cultural Week of China and Portuguese-speaking Countries Short Video Competition held its award ceremony on December 5 at the Complex of Commerce and Trade Co-operation Platform for China and Portuguese-speaking Countries.

Organized by the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao between October 17 and 20 in Macao, the 16th Cultural Week of China and Portuguese-speaking Countries was concluded successfully. To capture the event’s brilliant moments, the organizer hosted the 16th Cultural Week of China and Portuguese-speaking Countries Short Video Competition.

To promote and implement the “Strategic Plan for Economic and Trade Co-operation” of the 6th Ministerial Conference of Forum Macao and foster cooperation in areas such as the blue economy between China and Portuguese-speaking countries, a delegation of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao led by Deputy Secretary-General Xie Ying participated in the World Maritime Equipment Conference 2024 in Fuzhou between November 14 and 17, 2024 and exchanged insights with local enterprises.
