From 9 to 13 February, Secretary-General Ji Xianzheng of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao led a delegation of the Secretariat on a visit to Beijing to solicit opinions and suggestions from representatives of the Forum’s organisers and participating parties on the 2025 work summary and the 2026 work plan. During the visit, the delegation called on the Department of Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao Affairs of the Ministry of Commerce, as well as the embassies in China of Angola, Brazil, Cabo Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Equatorial Guinea, Mozambique, Portugal, São Tomé and Príncipe, and Timor-Leste.


In addition, the delegation visited the Exhibition Centre of the Zhongguancun National Innovation Demonstration Zone and met with representatives of the Zhongguancun Multimedia Industry Park, JD.com and Holcim Group to explore opportunities for trade and investment co-operation in high-technology fields between China and Portuguese-speaking countries.
