On the morning of 10 April 2026, the opening ceremony of the 14th Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo was held. Dr Ji Xianzheng, Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao, accompanied by other members of the Secretariat, attended the ceremony and visited the pavilion of the “Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao)”.


As one of the co-organisers of the event, the Permanent Secretariat inaugurated the themed pavilion at this edition of the Macao International Travel (Industry) Expo, where it comprehensively showcases the institutional role of Forum Macao, as well as the tourism resources and investment opportunities of the nine Portuguese-speaking countries, through texts, images, videos and other diversified means. An interactive AI-powered photo spot themed around tourist destinations in Portuguese-speaking countries was also set up at the pavilion, with the aim of enhancing interaction and making the visit more attractive.
