On December 1, Secretary-General Ji Xianzheng led the full delegation of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) on a courtesy visit to the Secretary for Economy and Finance of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government, Mr Tai Kin Ip. The two sides exchanged views on the implementation of the Strategic Plan for Economic and Trade Co-operation adopted at the 6th Ministerial Conference and on the Permanent Secretariat’s work program for 2026.

Attendees of the meeting also included Deputy Secretaries-General Xie Ying, Mr Danilo Afonso Henriques, and Mr António Lei; the Coordinator of the Executive Office, Ms Li Xiaohui; the Coordinator of the Liaison Office, Mr Agostinho João António dos Santos; delegates from the Portuguese-speaking countries; the Adviser to the Administrative Office; as well as Mr Che Weng Keong, the President of the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM); Mr Sam Lei, Executive Director of the IPIM; and Mr Tang Weng Hei, Senior Manager of the Lusophone Markets Economic and Trade Promotion Department .
