Trade in merchandise between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries reached US$184.787 billion in the period from January to October 2025. It represented a 3.37 percent decrease year-on-year, according to data from China Customs. Portuguese-speaking Countries sold goods worth US$112.213 billion to China in the first ten month of 2025 – a decrease of 5.94 percent year-on-year. The value of China’s merchandise exports to those countries reached US$72.574 billion in the same period, an increase of 0.90 percent year-on-year.
The total value of merchandise traded in October between the parties topped US$18.888 billion, an increase of 10.47 percent from the prior-year period. The value of China’s merchandise imports from Portuguese-speaking Countries reached US$11.870 billion, up 16.14 percent year-to-year, according to Chinese official data. China sold goods to those countries worth US$7.018 billion in October, an increase of 2.05 percent compared with the previous year.
