On April 16, Secretary-General Ji Xianzheng led members of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao on a visit to the “National Security Education Exhibition” at the Complex of Commerce and Trade Co-operation Platform for China and Portuguese-speaking Countries.

National security is a crucial foundation for Macao’s harmonious social development and the preservation of its diverse cultural heritage. It also serves as a strong guarantee for Forum Macao to promote economic and trade cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries through the Macao platform. This visit enhanced the Secretariat members’ understanding of China’s national security system and the modernization of its capabilities, as well as the Macao SAR’s ongoing efforts to improve legal frameworks and enforcement mechanisms for safeguarding national security. This knowledge will contribute to the Permanent Secretariat’s ability to carry out its work more effectively in Macao.
