Recently, at Expoacre, Deputy Governor Mailza Assis welcomed a group of businesspeople interested in learning about Acre’s logistical and industrial potential. “We have the opportunity to attract good industries here to Acre, and that is our intention in being here on this visit,” said businessman Márcio Rebouças, who organized the visit.

During the meeting, Mailza highlighted the strategic role of Acre and advocated for investments in the Export Processing Zone (EPZ), located in Senador Guiomard. During a recent visit to Rio de Janeiro, Mailza had already presented the potential of the EPZ to representatives of the Zhejiang Brazil-China Chamber of Commerce.

Among the attendees were two Chinese entrepreneurs, including Nelson Lin, Special Advisor at BYD Energy Brasil, who was visiting the state for the first time. He pointed out that the area has the potential to become a new industrial hub in the Amazon region, highlighting that, with tax incentives and infrastructure, the location could attract industries from Brazil, China, Japan, Europe, and the United States.
