Entrepreneurs from Macau will participate in the Portuguese agricultural fair Ovibeja in search of more quality food products to introduce to China, said the Macau Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM).

IPIM will organize a business delegation to take part in Ovibeja, between April 30 and May 5, and help Macau strengthen its role as a "food distribution center for Portuguese-speaking countries" throughout China, the Macau government department said in a statement released on March 20.

The institute aims to introduce more high-quality food and wine products from Portuguese-speaking countries to the Chinese market, as well as helping Macau companies explore cooperation opportunities abroad.

The 40th edition of Ovibeja, organized by ACOS - Associação de Agricultores de Portugal, will take place as usual at the Manuel de Castro e Brito Fair and Exhibition Park in Beja.
