Mozambican president receives a delegation of the National People's Congress

The President of the Republic of Mozambique, Filipe Nyusi, received on the 21st of November, a delegation from the National People's Congress, the highest legislative body of the People's Republic of China, who arrived in Mozambique to strengthen relations of friendship and cooperation in various areas, as well as how to establish a legislative exchange with the Mozambican parliament. The delegation was headed by the vice-chairman of the Standing Committee of the 14th National People's Congress of China, Losang Gyaltsen.

 

Filipe Nyusi expressed interest in strengthening cooperation between the two nations at legislative, political, social and cultural levels, remembering the long and deep ties of friendship between the two countries.

 

In his intervention, the President of the Republic cited, as an example, the success achieved in Mozambique's participation in the Belt and Road Forum, which took place in October in Beijing.

 

Losang Gyaltsen also highlighted the importance of the meeting he held with the president of the Assembly of the Republic, Esperança Bias, in which they spoke about legislative matters.
