China, Angola assess ongoing bilateral partnership

The Chinese Ambassador to Angola, Cui Aimin, and the Angolan President, José Eduardo dos Santos, met on Friday to assess the strategic partnership between the two nations, Angolan media reported.

Local newspaper Jornal de Angola quoted Mr Cui saying in the meeting that China would continue to support the economic diversification of the African nation.

The Ambassador also said – as quoted by Angolan news agency Angop – that the Angolan administration should continue its ongoing measures to overcome the temporary economic crisis.

Both sides should focus on co-operation in strategic areas including trade, agriculture, transport, communications, health, education, and information and technology, the report added.
