Chinese companies invested US$4.2 billion in projects in Brazil last year. This was a 113% increase compared to 2023, and the highest figure since 2021. The main characteristic of Chinese investments in Brazil is that most of them are linked to structural sectors: electricity, oil, infrastructure, and mining.

At the World Agri-Food Innovation Conference (Wafi), which recently took place in Beijing, Brazil's Ministry of Development and Social Assistance, Family, and Hunger Alleviation (MDS) played a prominent role in the Forum on Eradicating Poverty, Hunger, and Malnutrition, presenting concrete results and proposals for cooperation.

A Mediterranean restaurant recently opened in a Chinese special economic zone, located in the Huafa shopping center in Hengqin (Mountain Island), on the border with Macau. The Vivo restaurant is a project by two Portuguese entrepreneurs. The restaurant combines several traditions: Portuguese, Spanish, and Italian cuisine, prepared by a chef from Shanghai using Chinese ingredients.

Recently, the OABRJ participated in a meeting with the delegation of the Social and Legal Affairs Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CCPPC), held at the Legislative Assembly of the State of Rio de Janeiro (Alerj). The objective was to promote the exchange of experiences on legal issues, supervisory mechanisms, and institutional prerogatives, as well as to strengthen cooperation between Brazil and China.

Recently, a delegation of 38 magistrates from different Brazilian states participated in the Sino-Brazilian Academic Seminar on Law and Artificial Intelligence, held in the Yingdong Hall of Beijing Normal University.
