As part of the celebrations of International Children’s Day, three companies of China’s Jinan Yuxiao Group recently donated school bags, school supplies, clothing, forearm crutches, a wheelchair and a hot meal to orphaned children and children with disabilities at seven rural primary schools in the districts of Inhassunge, Inhamuchindo and Quelimane, in Zambézia Province.

The initiative, involving Moçambique Areias Pesadas, Lda., África Grande Muralha Desenvolvimento Mineiro, Lda. and Kronos Mineração, Lda., represents a total investment of around 1,599,200 meticais in various goods, benefiting thousands of primary school pupils.

A total of 1,350 school bags, 2,700 notebooks, 2,700 pens and 1,500 items of clothing were distributed. The initiative also included the donation of six forearm crutches and one wheelchair, specifically for children with reduced mobility, as well as the preparation of a solidarity lunch for 50 orphans.
