Representatives of governments, companies and financial institutions from China and Brazil recently gathered in São Paulo to discuss economic co-operation, trade and new bilateral investments. The meeting was promoted by the city of Shenzhen and Luohu District, bringing together more than 150 participants from the two countries. The initiative aimed to expand partnerships in areas such as infrastructure, innovation, trade and investment, with a focus on strengthening economic relations between China and Brazil.
The Consul General of China in São Paulo, Yu Peng, said that the results of cooperation between the two countries support the expansion of partnerships in new sectors.
One of the highlights of the meeting was the opening of Shenzhen’s contact point in São Paulo. The structure is intended to facilitate business expansion between Brazil, China and Latin America, as well as connect companies interested in commercial partnerships.
During the event, Reinaldo Ma, a member of the Advisory Committee of the Brazil-China Business Council, said that an institutional presence helps reduce uncertainty for investors. According to him, when the government participates, there is greater security for companies entering Brazil, especially in a complex regulatory environment.
