On December 2, the Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer BYD announced that it will start producing its first vehicles at its Camaçari plant in Bahia in March next year. This factory will be the world's largest and most advanced electric vehicle production plant outside of China. The information was confirmed by BYD's regional CEO, Stella Li, during a meeting with the President of Brazil, Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva.

The Macau International Short Film Festival, organized by the Macau Institute of European Studies and CREATIVE MACAU – Center for Creative Industries, opened on December 3 and runs until December 10. This year's festival promises a diverse program, with more than 30 sessions that include fiction, documentaries, animations and music videos.

On December 3, the state of Alagoas hosted the “Brazil-China Relations Seminar”, a diplomatic event aimed at discussing possible educational and cultural partnerships between the two countries. The Chinese automaker GWM International has announced that it has joined the Mover program, a commitment that involves investing R$10 billion by 2030 in the production of electric and hybrid vehicles in Brazil.

This December, the Foton dealer network will begin selling the Aumark S 315 AMT semi-light truck in Brazil. Imported from China, the vehicle was introduced to the Brazilian market in June and, after a rigorous homologation process, is now able to operate across Brazil.

The Brazilian Ministry of Education (MEC) has accredited the Macau University of Science and Technology, in China, making it an examination site for the Certificate of Proficiency in Portuguese for Foreigners (Celpe-Bras). The partnership was signed through the National Institute for Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (Inep), an autarchy linked to the Brazilian Ministry, and the ceremony was held on November 29.
