Business Delegation from Oeiras, Portugal, Visits Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao

On March 19, a delegation of 23 people from the Investment Promotion Bureau of Oeiras, Portugal, led by Deputy Mayor Francisco Gonçalves, visited the Permanent Secretariat of Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) (hereinafter referred to as “Forum Macao”). They learned about the development of Forum Macao, visited the Retrospective Exhibition of the 20th Anniversary of the Establishment of Forum Macao, and promoted the bilateral investment between the city and Macao and mainland China. The delegation also had exchanges with the Secretary-General Ji Xianzheng and all members of the Permanent Secretariat.


Oeiras is a coastal region in the south of Lisbon, with a city area of 45.88 square kilometers. It is a benchmark city for technological innovation in Portugal, boasting many industrial parks. There are currently 25,095 companies in the city, that is, 545 companies per square kilometer. It is an important window and platform for co-operation and exchanges of high-tech enterprises between China and Portuguese-speaking countries.
