China's Foton will end 2025 with its best performance ever in Brazil and will enter 2026 prepared for a new cycle of expansion, marked by increased production capacity, portfolio expansion, and a logistics strategy designed to transform the country into a regional hub.
According to Fábio Pontes, director of operations at Foton Brazil, the year represented a turning point. “We were coming out of a restructuring process and now we have really entered the market. We had approximately 1,000 units registered, launched the Tunland pickup trucks, and started local production. It was a period of great revelation for the company,” he says.
In addition to production, logistics is another central point of Foton's expansion strategy for 2026. Brazil already sells the brand's products in neighboring countries, and the Brazilian subsidiary is preparing to take on a larger role as a distribution hub for parts and after-sales services for all of Latin America. To this end, the company has entered into a strategic partnership with Cosco (China Ocean Shipping Company), one of the largest shipping operators in the world.
