Angola and China, through the chambers of commerce of both countries, intend to organize a business meeting in Luanda in the near future to explore their potential for promoting economic diversification and technology transfer.
The topic was recently discussed in Luanda at a meeting between the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Téte António, and the Chinese ambassador to Angola, Zhang Bin. According to a press release from MIREX, the parties reviewed the current state of bilateral and multilateral cooperation, with an emphasis on various sectors of common interest.
At the meeting, the parties also discussed the Sino-African launch of a Cooperation Initiative to Support Modernization in Africa, within the framework of the G20 Summit, scheduled to take place in Johannesburg, South Africa.
According to Ambassador Zhang Bin, this initiative focuses on key areas of African modernization, such as trade facilitation, green industries, development financing, peace, and security, clarifying cooperative principles for international community support for African modernization.
