Angolan technology consultancy TIS and Huawei recently signed a memorandum of understanding in Luanda to promote the digital transformation of Angola’s health sector.

The agreement was formalised during ANGOTIC 2026 and was witnessed by the Secretary of State for Public Health, Carlos Pinto de Sousa, during his visit to the country’s largest technology event.

According to information released by the entities involved, the partnership aims to introduce advanced technological solutions for the health sector in Angola. Under the agreement, TIS will be responsible for developing the application systems that will integrate Huawei’s technologies, as well as for training national professionals in the use of these tools. The project is already in the pilot phase, with gradual expansion to other regions of the country planned.

Huawei, in turn, will be responsible for providing software and technological solutions aimed at digital health and the modernisation of medical services.
