The Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) of the Macao SAR recently organised a delegation of more than 40 entrepreneurs, representatives of industry associations, and professionals from the industry, academia and research sectors from Macao and Mainland China for an eight-day business exchange visit to São Paulo, Brazil.
During the visit, a series of activities were held, including visits to industry fairs and exhibitions, study visits, official meetings, visits to enterprises, exchange sessions and seminars.
The visit facilitated multiple cooperation agreements. Macau Investment and Development Limited (MID) and its subsidiary, Guangdong-Macau Traditional Chinese Medicine Science and Technology Industrial Park Development Co., Ltd., signed a cooperation agreement with the Federal Pharmacy Council of Brazil. Members of the delegation also signed five cooperation agreements with local Brazilian companies.
Participating enterprises from all sides recognised the broad prospects for cooperation in the bio-pharmaceutical industry chain between Mainland China, Macao and Brazil. They considered that the visit would help deepen economic and trade cooperation between Macao and Portuguese-speaking Countries.
