Recently, the Secretary of International Affairs at the Ministry of Finance of Brazil, Ambassador Tatiana Rosito, received a Chinese delegation that included, among those sent by Beijing, China's Deputy Minister of Finance, Liao Min. She also participated in a meeting of the Brazil-China economic and financial subcommittee.

Rosito said that Brazil and China are working to expand the use of local currencies not only in trade but also in the composition of reserves and financial portfolios.

At the meeting, which took place at Apex headquarters, Rosito highlighted that US$2.8 billion has already been approved this year for projects associated with the environmental agenda by the Brazil-China Cooperation Fund, relaunched in 2024. In addition, he added, the integration of financial markets took a step forward in May with the listing in Brazil of Chinese exchange-traded funds, known as ETFs. This partnership, Rosito stressed, will intensify with the future listing of Brazilian ETFs in China.
