Dário Silva, President of PorCham Greater China, is optimistic about opportunities for cooperation between China and Portuguese-speaking countries. As the leading institutional figure linking China to Portugal and Portuguese-speaking countries, he founded PorCham Greater China in 2018. Under his leadership, the chamber has become a key gateway for Portuguese and Portuguese-speaking companies entering the Chinese market. Today, PorCham Greater China has more than 100 member companies from Portuguese-speaking countries and China.
The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA) remained central to his strategy. Calling it “one of the most attractive investment spots in the world,” Silva emphasized its ecosystem of innovation, advanced manufacturing, and foreign-friendly business environment.
Silva also advocated for specific sectoral collaboration, particularly in new energy vehicles. His vision is to align Portugal's industrial strengths with China's world-leading NEV sector, promoting technology sharing and joint market expansion.
