Brazilian city of Araraquara strengthens ties with China to attract new investment

The city of Araraquara, in the state of São Paulo, received a Chinese delegation last week for a strategic meeting aimed at deepening institutional relations and identifying new investment opportunities. The meeting, held at the Municipal Palace, was attended by the Consul-General of China in São Paulo, Yu Peng, representatives of the Chinese consulate, and Li Bangyong, President of CRRC Brazil (China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation Brazil).


The meeting focused on strengthening co-operation between Araraquara, the state of São Paulo and China in sectors considered strategic, namely infrastructure, logistics, mobility, technology and industrial development.


During the session, the municipality's main competitive advantages were presented, including its strategic location, railway tradition, availability of a skilled workforce, a favourable business environment and proximity to the country's main logistics corridors.


The municipal authority reiterated its commitment to attracting new investment and expanding international partnerships, highlighting the city's potential to host projects capable of generating employment, income and regional development.


The Chinese delegation also emphasised the potential for co-operation with Araraquara, considering that conditions exist to deepen collaboration in various areas of common interest.
