The digital corridor between China and Brazil is undergoing a phase of strong expansion. Driven by the growth of international e-commerce and the increasingly direct connection between Brazilian consumers and Chinese suppliers, this movement goes beyond online shopping and is establishing itself as an integrated infrastructure linking marketplaces, logistics and financial solutions.

The combination of competitive prices in cross-border e-commerce, technological advances and the high digitalisation of payment methods in Brazil – with particular emphasis on Pix – has accelerated this commercial relationship. Brazil already ranks among the ten largest e-commerce markets in the world, with projected revenues of 234.9 billion for 2025 and approximately 94 million active digital shoppers, according to the Brazilian Electronic Commerce Association (ABComm).

In China, the market is even larger. In the first half of 2025, online sales of physical goods reached 6.12 trillion yuan, equivalent to 4.4 trillion reais. This figure represents 24.9% of the country's total retail trade.

Furthermore, 70% of the world's largest marketplaces are Chinese, while platforms such as AliExpress and TikTok Shop continue to strengthen their presence in the Brazilian market. China is thus consolidating itself as one of the main protagonists of global digital commerce.

The trend points to a continued increase in online purchases by Brazilian consumers across multiple platforms. Companies that master local payment methods, are capable of operating in multiple currencies and pay attention to regulatory changes will be better positioned to take advantage of this growth.
