The Brazilian Ambassador to China, Marcos Galvão, stated that the relationship between the two countries has enabled advances in various sectors, including tourism. The diplomat participated by video in the seminar on the Brazil-China Cultural Year, held last week during the Tourism Fair taking place in Fortaleza.
According to the ambassador, Brazil and China are currently experiencing a positive period in bilateral relations, marked by consistent political dialogue, growing exchange and the strengthening of co-operation between the two countries.
The Minister of Tourism, Gustavo Feliciano, argued that Brazil possesses attractive conditions to attract Chinese tourists. Among the main points of interest, he highlighted the Amazon, the Pantanal, the diversity of fauna and flora, and various Brazilian biomes.
For Zhang Zhiyun, Cultural Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Brazil, it is important to strengthen co-operation between the airline companies of the two countries, increasing the frequency of connections and facilitating the movement of people. This measure gains relevance given the expectation of growth in the number of Chinese tourists in Brazil, following the announcement of the end of visa requirements for Chinese citizens, which has opened new perspectives for the tourism sector.
