On the 21st of December, Governor João Azevêdo received representatives from the Shaanxi Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference at the João Pessoa Convention Centre. On the occasion, a letter of intent was signed that provides for economic and commercial cooperation, as well as exchange programmes for teachers and students between the government of Paraíba and the province of Shaanxi.

The first vice-president of the Assembly of the Republic of Mozambique, Hélder Ernesto Injojo, made his first official visit to China between the 10th and 17th of December.
