The new Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), Ms Xu Yingzhen, took office on August 11.

The Secretary-General of the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), Mr Chang Hexi (pictured), has returned to Beijing on August 11. He will be taking a new post in Beijing.

The Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation Between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), also known as Forum Macao, took part in the Opening Ceremony of the 2016 China (Macao) Traditional Medicine International Co-operation Forum.

Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO) has joined hands with the Supporting Office to the Permanent Secretariat to the Forum for Economic and Trade Cooperation between China and Portuguese-Speaking Countries (Macao) to carry out their tourism training programme for civil servants from tourism offices of Portuguese-speaking countries.

The Training Centre of Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao) – also known as Forum Macao – is organising a Seminar on Co-operation in Traditional Medicine between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries. It will be held between July 18 and 31.

The former President of Cape Verde, Commander Pedro Pires, visited the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), also known as Forum Macao.

A delegation from the Permanent Secretariat of the Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Forum Macao) joined – from June 5 to June 7 – a series of promotional activities organised by the Macao SAR Government in the city of Kunming, Yunnan Province. Among these events was the ‘Dynamic Macao Business and Trade Fair – Kunming, Yunnan’.

To highlight the role of Macao as a service platform and explain the investment environment and business opportunities of Portuguese-speaking Countries, a ‘Seminar on Business Co-operation between Yunnan, Macao and Portuguese-speaking Countries’ was held on June 6. The seminar took place in Kunming Municipality, in Yunnan Province.

The Working Group for Promoting Agricultural Co-operation under the Council of the Summit for Commercial and Industrial Development of Jiangsu, Macao and Portuguese-speaking Countries, successfully held its first meeting on June 2, in Macao.
