Angolan companies have been invited to join the national delegation that will take part in the 9th edition of the China International Import Expo (CIIE), to be held from 5 to 10 November in Shanghai. The invitation was presented at a promotional conference held in Luanda, dedicated to the trade, investment and economic co-operation opportunities associated with the event.
Anatólio Domingos, Director of the National Directorate for Integration and Economic Development of the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, stated that the CIIE allows for the promotion of products, services and investment opportunities, the establishment of business contacts, the identification of partners and the expansion of companies' presence in international markets. He added that the results of Angola's participation should be evaluated according to the partnerships created, the investments mobilised and the capacity to place national products in the Chinese market.
Angola will participate under the motto "Angola Exports", which reflects the objective of developing a more productive, diversified and competitive economy, adding value to raw materials and conquering new markets.
Luís Cupenala, President of the Angola-China Chamber of Commerce, considered the fair an opportunity to present the country's potential and strengthen the productive capacity of businesses. The participation is part of strategies to promote exports, economic diversification, the internationalisation of companies and the strengthening of economic and trade relations between Angola and China.
