The Portugal-China Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCILC), in partnership with the Portugal-Hong Kong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHKCCI), will organise a business mission to China from 17 to 24 October. The initiative aims to bring Portuguese companies closer to Chinese partners and promote economic, commercial and technological co-operation.

In Chongqing, the delegation is expected to meet with representatives of the municipal government and local companies. The preliminary programme includes visits to the Chongqing–Macau Industrial Park, the Yuxinou International Railway Terminal, a new-energy vehicle manufacturing facility and other industrial and logistics infrastructure.

The mission will then continue in Chengdu, where Portuguese companies will participate in the 19th Europe–China Business and Technology Cooperation Fair from 21 to 23 October. The programme includes conferences, forums and business meetings focusing on areas such as artificial intelligence, energy and sustainability, robotics, biomedicine, advanced technology, agriculture, the food industry and education.

The fair will also feature business-matching sessions, enabling Portuguese companies to hold pre-arranged meetings with potential Chinese partners through AI-assisted platforms. The mission aims to help Portuguese companies identify commercial and technological partners, explore investment opportunities and keep abreast of innovation trends in the Chinese market.
