The final stage of the institutional mission of the Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Norte (IFRN) to China, held recently, was marked by the strengthening of partnerships focused on regional development, agricultural innovation and the expansion of institutional relations between Brazil and China. The agenda brought together representatives of the institution in diplomatic and academic engagements that consolidated initiatives already developed by the Institute and opened up new prospects for international cooperation.
During the agenda, the IFRN delegation took part in meetings at the Consulate General of Brazil in Shanghai and formalised a cooperation agreement with China Agricultural University (CAU). The activities reinforced the role of education, research and innovation as instruments for bringing the two countries closer together.
One of the mission’s engagements took place at the Consulate General of Brazil in Shanghai, where the delegation was received by Consul General Augusto Souto Pestana. During the meeting, the parties discussed partnerships established between Brazilian and Chinese institutions, as well as possibilities for expanding initiatives in education, research and academic exchange.
