The Macau Scientific and Cultural Centre (CCCM) will host, in December this year, the sixth edition of the Annual Conference of Macao Studies, an initiative usually held at the University of Macau. The meeting will take place between 2 and 4 December, under the theme "Macao as a Hub", with the support of the Macao Foundation.
The CCCM is currently accepting proposals from academics and researchers interested in participating in a conference aimed at promoting research and dialogue on Macao's role in historical, cultural, social and global dynamics.
The chosen theme seeks to highlight Macao's relevance as a connection point between different regions, traditions and areas of knowledge, addressing its role as a hub for cultural exchange, economic activity and scientific production within a context of regional and international transformation.
The initiative also aims to deepen understanding of Macao's multifaceted identity and to encourage new approaches to its role in bringing the East and West closer together.
