China Public Diplomacy Association receives Guinea-Bissau media delegation

The China Public Diplomacy Association recently received a media delegation from Guinea-Bissau, consisting of four members. The Association's Vice-President, Han Zhiqiang, met with the delegation members in Beijing.


During their visit to China, the delegation travelled to Beijing and the Xinjiang region. In the Chinese capital, the participants visited China Media Group and held discussions with China Global Television Network (CGTN). The programme also included a visit to the Robot World and the Autonomous Driving Exhibition Hall at the Beijing Economic-Technological Development Area. In the Xinjiang region, the delegation visited the Islamic Theology Institute, the Urumqi Integrated Trade and Logistics Zone, the Xinjiang Agricultural Park and the Hui'er Agricultural Company. The group also attended the Commemorative Exhibition marking the 70th anniversary of the establishment of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region.


The head of the delegation, Mónica Buaró da Costa, Director-General of Guinea-Bissau Television, highlighted the high technological level achieved by China, particularly in agricultural modernisation. She also expressed the hope that Guinea-Bissau can learn from China's development experience and strengthen exchanges and co-operation in the agriculture, trade and other sectors.
