The Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (ApexBrasil) began an official mission to China last week, with agendas scheduled in Chongqing, Shenzhen, Shanghai and Beijing until 22 May.
The main highlight of the delegation is Brazil's participation in SIAL China 2026, one of the largest food and beverage fairs in Asia, where the country is present with a record number of exhibiting companies.
The mission is led by the President of ApexBrasil, Laudemir Muller, and aims to strengthen bilateral trade, attract investments and deepen institutional relations with China, Brazil's main trading partner.
In this edition of SIAL China, Brazil has 82 companies spread across five pavilions organised by ApexBrasil and partner entities, surpassing the 54 companies that participated in the previous edition. The expectation is to generate around US$3.3 billion in business, both immediate and future.
The mission also marks the entry of the " Co-operate to Export" programme into the Chinese market. Among the products on display are speciality coffees, açaí, nuts, honey, wines, fruit pulps and other foods linked to Brazilian biodiversity.
