According to data from the Statistics of China Customs Services (see the attached table), trade exchanges between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries amounted to 53.861 thousand million US dollars in the January–March period of 2026, recording a year-on-year rise of 21.91%. China’s imports from the Portuguese-speaking Countries stood at 30.787 thousand million US dollars, representing a year-on-year rise of 25.72%, while China’s exports to the Portuguese-speaking Countries reached 23.074 thousand million US dollars, with a year-on-year rise of 17.17%.
In March 2026, trade exchanges between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries reached 16.614 thousand million US dollars, showing a year-on-year rise of 10.76%. China’s imports from the Portuguese-speaking Countries amounted to 9.317 thousand million US dollars, a year-on-year rise of 24.22%, whereas China’s exports to the Portuguese-speaking Countries registered a year-on-year decrease of 2.70%, standing at 7.296 thousand million US dollars.
