According to data from China Customs Service Statistics (see attached table), trade exchanges between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries reached 37.242 billion US dollars in January–February 2026, marking a year-on-year rise of 27.65%. China’s imports from the Portuguese-speaking Countries stood at 21.455 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 26.37%, while China’s exports to the Portuguese-speaking Countries amounted to 15.787 billion US dollars, representing a year-on-year growth of 29.43%.
In February 2026 alone, trade exchanges between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries hit 17.504 billion US dollars, with a year-on-year expansion of 31.32%. China’s imports from the Portuguese-speaking Countries were 9.868 billion US dollars, up 15.5% year on year, whereas China’s exports to the Portuguese-speaking Countries totalled 7.636 billion US dollars, surging by 59.56% compared with the same period a year earlier.
