According to data from Statistics of China Customs Services (see attached table), bilateral trade between China and the Portuguese-speaking Countries reached 19.738 billion US dollars in January 2026, representing a year-on-year growth of 24.56%.
China’s imports from the Portuguese-speaking Countries stood at 11.587 billion US dollars, a year-on-year rise of 37.38%, whilst China’s exports to the Portuguese-speaking Countries amounted to 8.151 billion US dollars, with a year-on-year increase of 9.98%.
