Trade in merchandise between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries reached US$205.177 billion in the period from January to November 2025. It represented a 1,66 percent decrease year-on-year, according to data from China Customs. Portuguese-speaking Countries sold goods worth US$124.714 billion to China in the first eight month of 2025 – a decrease of 4.02 percent year-on-year. The value of China’s merchandise exports to those countries reached US$80.463 billion in the same period, an increase of percent year-on-year.
The total value of merchandise traded in November between the parties topped US$20.346 billion, an increase of 16.71 percent from the prior-year period. The value of China’s merchandise imports from Portuguese-speaking Countries reached US$12.456 billion, up 16.43 percent year-to-year, according to Chinese official data. China sold goods to those countries worth US$7.890 billion in August, an increase of 17.16 percent compared with the previous year.
