A delegation from the China Chamber of Commerce of Import and Export of Foodstuffs, Native Products and Animal By-products (CFNA) has travelled to the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso for a series of initiatives aimed at strengthening trade ties with the Asian nation. The mission focuses particularly on sustainable beef production, product traceability, and opportunities for export diversification.

The agenda began on 4 May at the Paiaguás Palace in Cuiabá, the capital of Mato Grosso. State Governor Otaviano Pivetta welcomed the Chinese representatives, accompanied by state secretaries and leaders of the Mato Grosso Beef Institute (IMAC). The delegation comprises CFNA specialists and around 20 business leaders from China’s animal protein import, logistics and distribution sectors.

The visit is both technical and strategic in nature, intended to carry out on-site inspections of Mato Grosso’s sustainable production model, from cattle rearing through to finished goods. This standard has become an increasingly decisive factor for gaining entry to and maintaining a presence in international markets.
