The Brazilian Beef project, an initiative of the Brazilian Association of Meat Exporting Industries (ABIEC) in co-operation with the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency (APEX), is carrying out another commercial promotion and business generation agenda in China between 14 and 20 May. The programme includes The Beef and Road event in Chongqing on 14 and 15 May, and participation in SIAL Shanghai 2026, Asia's largest food and beverage trade fair, which takes place from 18 to 20 May, bringing together Brazilian companies, importers and sector representatives.

At the fair, held at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, Brazilian Beef will have a pavilion of more than 1,200 square metres, housing 24 companies associated with ABIEC, representing a growth of 20% compared to the previous edition.

China remains the main destination for Brazilian beef, accounting for around 50% of the country's imports. Currently, 67 Brazilian slaughterhouses are authorised to export to this market, including 31 ABIEC-associated companies permitted to operate.
