A major road infrastructure project, undertaken by China Railway 20th Bureau Group Corporation (CR20), was recently launched in the province of Ícolo e Bengo, Angola, according to local authorities. The work corresponds to section 4-B of the Luanda Ring Road, which will connect the regions of Muxima and Zango. The launch ceremony was attended by provincial and municipal authorities, representatives of the construction company, and local residents.

The Governor of Ícolo e Bengo Province, Auzílio de Oliveira Martins Jacob, highlighted during the event the role of the Chinese company in the country's infrastructure sector, emphasising the execution of several road projects recognised for their quality and reliability.

The road project is approximately 12 kilometres long and will be built with rigid concrete pavement. The main carriageway will be around seven metres wide and aims to improve traffic flow in the region. Upon its completion, the road is expected to help reduce congestion in the municipality of Calumbo, strengthen the connection to the Zango area, and increase the efficiency of local transport.
