Near the "China Town" in Luanda, Angola's capital, new vehicles from Chinese brands such as Jetour and Soueast are displayed in an orderly manner. At a Jetour showroom, local saleswoman Wilma presents the models through live broadcasts, switching between Portuguese and English, demonstrating a high level of professionalism.
Ying Huiren, co-founder of Jetour's operations in Angola with nearly 20 years of experience in the country, explains that this showroom covers 3,260 square metres, making it the largest of its kind on the continent. The brand currently has 12 large stores in Luanda and two direct sales points in other provinces, forming a structured sales network.
Luo Yuanren, head of Jetour's operations in Africa, revealed that in 2025, the brand's sales on the continent exceeded 30,000 units, securing second place among Chinese brands in Africa, behind only Chery.
Chinese cars are advancing, driven by Africa's growth. At the same time as they witness the continent's progress and prosperity, they are also writing a new chapter of co-operation and mutual benefit between Chinese brands and Africa.
