China Media Group (CMG) recently organised the event “China in Spring: China’s Development, Opportunities for the World – Global Dialogue, Brazil Edition” in Brasília, in partnership with the Chinese Embassy. The meeting facilitated discussions on China’s economic progress and its impact on the international stage, with a focus on new opportunities for co-operation with Brazil in areas such as the economy, industry, culture and youth development.

China’s Ambassador to Brazil, Zhu Qingqiao, took part in the opening session alongside the Executive Secretary of the Secretariat for Institutional Relations, Marcelo Costa.

During the event, representatives from Vale, a multinational mining company, presented their experiences regarding operations in the Chinese market. The presentation highlighted results achieved through investments and indicated the possibility of expanding partnerships in areas such as energy and sustainable economics. Another key event was a youth forum, which brought together representatives from government, the press and academia. The group discussed issues related to economic growth, poverty alleviation and cultural exchange between China and Latin America.
