Chinese Ambassador Meets with Governor of Mato Grosso to Strengthen Bilateral Co-operation

The Chinese Ambassador to Brazil, Zhu Qingqiao, recently met in Cuiabá with the Governor of the State of Mato Grosso, Mauro Mendes, accompanied by the President of the State Legislative Assembly, Deputy Max Russi.


Ambassador Zhu stated that China-Brazil relations are currently going through the best moment in their history. The construction of the China-Brazil Community with a Shared Future is progressing well, constituting an example of solidarity and co-operation among major countries of the Global South. The mutually beneficial co-operation between China and the State of Mato Grosso has solid foundations, with abundant results and promising prospects. China is willing to work together with all sectors of Mato Grosso to deepen pragmatic co-operation in various areas, such as infrastructure, smart agriculture and clean energy, aiming to contribute to the development and revitalisation of both sides, as well as to the strengthening of the China-Brazil Community with a Shared Future.


In turn, Governor Mendes said that the State of Mato Grosso attaches great importance to the development of relations with China. Pragmatic co-operation between Brazil and China has produced rich results, concretely benefiting the development and well-being of the peoples of both countries. The State is willing to further leverage its own advantages, with the aim of strengthening co-operation with China in various areas and raising Brazil-China relations to new heights.
