The Brazilian state of Espírito Santo leads the country's exports of ornamental stones to China, with US$141.7 million shipped in 2025, accounting for a 54.6% share of Brazil's total exports to the Asian nation. The state of Minas Gerais, ranking second in sector exports to China, recorded US$56.3 million (21.7%) over the same period.
The information was released by the Brazilian Natural Stone Association (Centrorochas). The organisation is currently focused on participating in one of the world's largest natural stone fairs, the Xiamen Stone Fair, scheduled to take place from 16 to 19 March in China. Brazil will occupy a 555-square-metre space in Pavilion A5 at the fair, bringing together 22 companies — two more than last year.
Espírito Santo is Brazil's largest exporter of natural stones, responsible for approximately 80% of national exports. In 2025, the sector achieved a record high, with total exports reaching US$1.5 billion — a 17.5% increase compared to the previous year. China was the second largest buyer of Brazilian natural stones last year, importing US$260.1 million and accounting for 17.5% of the sector's foreign sales.
