Trade relations between Brazil and China, strategies to attract Chinese tourists, Brazil-China logistics corridors and business case studies are among the key topics under discussion at the Brazil-China Trade and Tourism Forum.

The international meeting is expected to bring together around 250 Brazilian and Chinese authorities, business leaders and investors in Rio de Janeiro, with the aim of developing strategic partnerships in the areas of trade, tourism, innovation, creative economy and investment. The expectation is to generate R$25 million in new business and commercial contracts following the event.

The Brazil-China Trade and Tourism Forum is part of the first edition of TurisMall – a multi-event platform for tourism, business and innovation, which took place from 12 to 14 March in Rio de Janeiro. TurisMall seeks to position itself as a hub for integration between governments, international leaders, investors and institutional entities.

"The Brazil-China Forum was created with a very objective purpose: to transform institutional relationships into concrete business generation. We want to create a safe environment for strategic decisions, bringing together investors, tourist destinations and companies wishing to expand their operations between the two markets," said Mônica Cecília Medeiros Tamura, CEO of TurisMall.
