University of Macau attended the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Association of Portuguese Language Universities

The Vice-Rector of the University of Macau (UM), Rui Martins, recently attended the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Association of Portuguese Language Universities (AULP) in Lisbon, where he presented the preparations for the 35th Annual Meeting of the AUPL. 


The meeting will take place in Macao from June 15 to 17, with the theme “International University Collaboration: Strengthening Academic and Cultural Ties between the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Macao-Hengqin, and Portuguese-speaking Countries.” Jointly organized by UM, the Macau Polytechnic University, and the University of Tourism, the meeting marks the seventh edition in Macau and coincides with the 45th anniversary of UM and the 40th anniversary of AULP.


According to a statement, the meeting, chaired by the rector of the University of Cape Verde, José Arlindo Barreto, approved the 2025 activity report and accounts and the 2026 budget. At the same time, publications and data on the association's mobility programs were presented.
