In a context of structural changes in the Chinese economy, reorganisation of global production chains and greater protectionism, the Brazil-China Business Council (CEBC) will promote the webinar ‘The Future of Brazil-China Trade’ on 12 March.

According to the Council, trade between Brazil and China reached a record USD 171 billion in 2025, consolidating the Asian country as the main axis of Brazilian foreign trade. The bilateral dynamic reflects, on the one hand, high Chinese demand for agricultural products, minerals and oil and, on the other, the growing importance of national imports of Chinese industrial goods, such as electric vehicles, chemicals and strategic inputs.

The CEBC highlights that the webinar brings together experts from key sectors to analyse the prospects for bilateral trade in the coming years, considering the structural transformations of the Chinese economy, changes in Brazilian market demand and the reorganisation of global production chains in a context of greater protectionism and strengthening industrial policies.
