Mozambique: Matola City reinforces call for economic cooperation with Henan entrepreneurs from China

The secretary to the mayor of Matola, Augusto Mondlane, highlighted the importance of strengthening investment, economic cooperation, and social solidarity during the annual conference of the Association of Henan Natives in Mozambique, held on January 19.


The municipal representative emphasized the positive role played by member companies in the economic and social development of Matola, inviting the association and its companies to expand their investments in Matola, highlighting the city's strategic position, resilience, and development potential.


Mondlane also reiterated the city's commitment to maintaining a policy of openness to investment, strengthening legal certainty, deepening dialogue with the private sector, and creating concrete opportunities in areas such as industry, logistics, infrastructure, housing, energy, and services.


During the event, the association also announced a charitable donation of one million meticais (about US$15,800) to support flood relief efforts in Mozambique and post-disaster recovery efforts.
