Salvador Caetano Auto, a leader in the automotive sector in Portugal, with a presence in 48 countries in Europe, Latin America, and Africa, has announced a “strategic alliance” with China's Neolix Technologies, a world leader in the development and manufacture of autonomous logistics vehicles, known as RoboVans.
By leveraging complementary capabilities, the alliance aims to strengthen the development of more sustainable and intelligent transport solutions in Europe, combining the Portuguese group's Caetano Mobility ecosystem with the Chinese giant's world leadership in low-speed autonomous driving, with a global deployment network covering 15 countries and regions and a fleet of more than 15,000 vehicles in operation.
As a “leading RoboVan solutions provider,” Neolix is committed to “sharing proven autonomous driving technologies and our large-scale operational experience with global partners,” so “by joining forces with Salvador Caetano Auto,” the Chinese group aims “not only to bring innovative solutions to the Portuguese market, but also to collaborate in shaping the future of European smart logistics, contributing to the region's sustainable development goals,” says a representative.
